Economic Growth Jawa Barat Quarter II/2009

Economic Growth Rate (LPE) of Jawa barat as measured by the increase of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the previous quarter (qtq), entering the second quarter of 2009, by 0.70 percent. The highest growth was achieved by the financial sector, leasing and business services of 9.89 percent, followed by the transportation and communications sector with growth of 6.57 percent, in the third position occupied by the building sector by 5.70 percent, while the lowest growth was agricultural sector minus 20.23 percent. 􀀻 Year on year (yoy), that is, when compared to second quarter of 2008, GDP growth in second quarter of 2009 reached 3.19 percent. The highest yoy growth was achieved by transportation and communications sector by 11.14 percent, while the lowest growth was in the manufacturing sector minus 1.64 percent. 􀀻 Non-oil / gas LPE in Q2 / 2009 reached 0.68 percent, lower than the overall GRDP growth of 0.70 percent.
