Consumer Price Index/Deflation of 0.06 Percent in Jawa Barat on November 2009

November 2009, CPI Composite Jawa barat (CPI 2007 = 100) covering 7 cities of Bandung City, Cirebon City, Tasikmalaya City, Bekasi City, Bogor City, Sukabumi City and Depok City experienced deflation of 0.06 percent. Thus during the year 2009 (January-November) there was inflation of 1.79 percent, respectively January 2009 deflation of 0.28 percent, February 2009 and March 2009 inflation respectively by 0.08 percent and 0.20 percent , April deflation was 0.23 percent and the next six months were May, June, July, August, September and October inflation of 0.02 percent, 0.06 percent, 0.38 percent, 0.58 percent, 0.90 percent and 0.13 percent, in November again a third deflation of 0.06 percent. During the last twelve months (November 2009 against November 2008) or "year on year" inflation there was inflation of 1.25 percent. In November 2009, the foodstuff category experienced deflation of 0.86 percent while the other six expenditure groups experienced inflation, the highest in the clothing category by 0.53 percent followed by the food, beverage, cigarette & tobacco 0.38 percent, the education and recreation group & sports 0.16 percent, health group 0.13 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel 0.10 percent and transport, communication & financial services 0,09 percent.
