Jawa Barat has increased the number of labor force. In February 2011 the number reached 20,155,491 people, increased 941,134 inhabitants compared to February 2010 amounted to 19,214,357 inhabitants The number of people working in Jawa Barat in February 2011 increased compared to February of 2010. In February 2011, the working population was recorded as much as 18,173,043 people, increased 990,176 souls compared to February 2010 which recorded as many as 17.182.807 jiwa.Selama period of one year there was a decrease in the number of unemployed as many as 49.102 inhabitants. In February 2011 unemployed Jawa Barat recorded as many as 1.982.448 inhabitants, while in February 2010 unemployed recorded amounted to 2,031,550 inhabitants. The Jawa Barat Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) decreased by 0.73 percent from 10.57 percent in February 2010, to 9.84 percent in February 2011.
