Figures While the production of rice in 2012 is 11,271,860 tons of dry unhusked grain (GKG) or equivalent to 7,071,965 tons of rice. This production decreased by -3.11 percent compared to Fixed Rate 2011 which reached 11,633,890 tons of MPD or equivalent to 7,299,103 tons of rice. The decline in production is due to a decrease in harvested area by -2.32 percent from 1,964,466 Ha in 2011 to 1,918,799 Ha in 2012, and decreased productivity by -0.81 percent from 59.22 quintal per hectare in 2011 to 58.74 quintals per hectare in in 2012.
