Economic of Jawa Barat in Quarter I-2013 Grows 5.94 Percent

Economic growth in Jawa Barat in the first quarter of 2013 compared to the fourth quarter of 2012 increased by 1.47 percent (q-to-q). From the field of business, the growth is supported by the Agricultural Sector; Mining-Quarrying Sector; Processing Industry Sector; and Financial Sector-Rental-Service Company. The highest growth was generated by Agricultural Sector of 26.31 percent triggered by the rice harvest season in the first quarter of 2013. In terms of usage, positive growth occurred in the components of household consumption, including non-profit institutions (0.02%), inventory changes (14.35%) and exports (2.74%). While components that experienced negative growth were government consumption (-34.66%), PMTB (-1.62%), and imports (-3.74%).
