The year-to-date inflation from January to April 2013 is 2.52 percent and year-on-year inflation over the last twelve months April 2013 to April 2012) is 5.52 percent. Of the seven expenditure groups, the deflation category was 1.37 percent, the Clothing Group by 0.52 percent and the Transportation, Communication & Financial Services Group by 0.03 percent. Other expenditure groups experienced inflation among others Food, Beverage, Cigarette & Tobacco Group by 0.32 percent, Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas & Fuel Group by 0.95 percent, Health Group by 0.17 percent and Education Group, Recreation & Sports by 0,04 percent.
