March 2013 The Number of Poor People in Jawa Barat is 4,297,038 People (9.52 Percent)

The number of poor (population below the Poverty Line) in Jawa Barat in March 2013 amounted to 4,297,038 people (9.52 percent). Compared with September 2012 which amounted to 4,421,484 people (9.89 percent), the number of poor people in March 2013 decreased by 124,446 people (0.37 percent). During the period September 2012 - March 2013, the number of poor urban dwellers was reduced by approximately 59 000 people (from 2,560,02 thousand in September 2012 to 2,501 thousand in March 2013). Meanwhile, in rural areas decreased about 65.4 thousand people (from 1,861,46 thousand people in September 2012 to 1,796.04 thousand people in March 2013).
