Abstract

  • The percentage of poor people in September 2024 was 7.08 percent, down 0.38 percentage points compared to March 2024 and down 0.54 percentage points compared to March 2023.
  • The number of poor people in September 2024 was 3.67 million people, down 180.32 thousand people compared to March 2024 and down 220.25 thousand people compared to March 2023.
  • The percentage of urban poor people in March 2024 was 7.07 percent, down to 6.65 percent in September 2024. Meanwhile, the percentage of rural poor people in March 2024 was 9.07 percent, down to 8.85 percent in September 2024.
  • Compared to March 2024, the number of urban poor people in September 2024 fell by 141.06 thousand people (from 2.92 million people in March 2024 to 2.78 million people in September 2024). Meanwhile, in the same period, the number of rural poor people decreased by 39.26 thousand people (from 0.93 million people in March 2024 to 0.89 million people in September 2024).
  • The Poverty Line in September 2024 was recorded at IDR535,509/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR400,115 (74.72 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR135,394 (25.28 percent).
