Abstract

February 2025 saw year on year (y-on-y) deflation in West Java Province of 0.27 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.95. The deepest deflation occurred in Subang Regency by 1.04 percent with a CPI of
107.38 while inflation occurred in Sukabumi City by 0.78 percent with a CPI of 106.58.
Y-on-y deflation occurred due to a decrease in prices as indicated by expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index, namely: housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 11.44 percent and information, communication and financial services groups by 0.30 percent. While the groups that experienced an index increase were: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.62 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.30 percent; the equipment group by 1.30 percent.
