Democracy Portrait of Jawa Barat Province 2017

The Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) was created to determine the level of development of democracy based on the implementation and development of a number of aspects of democracy. This index is built from 3 aspects of democracy, namely Civil Liberties, Political Rights and Institution of Democracy. The three aspects of democracy are translated into 11 variables and 28 indicators. IDI numbers are presented at the provincial level, and for national data are the IDI average numbers of all provinces with a certain weight. IDI of Jawa Barat in 2017 amounted to 68.78 lower than the National IDI value which was recorded at 72.11. Ranking in comparison with other provinces in Indonesia, Jawa Barat IDI is ranked 29th.
