Development of Large and Medium Manufacturing Industry in Jawa Barat Province 2020

BPS-Statistics of Jawa Barat Province periodically conducts the Monthly Large and Medium Industry Survey (SIBS). The survey was conducted to capture the performance of the manufacturing industry sector, especially the large and medium scale on a monthly basis. As output, the results of the survey are presented in the form of a quarterly manufacturing production index which is used to calculate the growth rate of large and medium scale manufacturing industries. This figure is used as the basis for calculating the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), especially the manufacturing industry sector. The previous Monthly SIBS results were released quarterly in the Official Gazette of Statistics, but in 2020 the release was postponed indefinitely due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This publication is compiled as a Monthly SIBS Activity Report for 2020 which presents the performance of the manufacturing industry according to the two-digit Indonesian Standard Classification of Business (KBLI) 2015 based on the “International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC)” Revision 4 of 2015.
