Abstract

Grain as the final product of the agricultural sub-sector of food crops, has a strategic position as the main food for the majority of the population of Jawa Barat. The selling price of grain is highly dependent on the quality of the grain transacted by farmers, starting from the water content, void content or dirt content. In this regard, the government sets the HPP (Government Purchase Price) for unhulled rice both at the farmer level and at the mill level, as one of the policies so that farmers get adequate profits.BPS-Statistics of Jawa Barat Province routinely monitors grain prices through the Grain Producer Price Survey spread over 18 districts. To optimize it, we compiled Producer Price Statistics of Paddy in Jawa Barat Province 2023 which presents data in a series from 2018 to 2023. Various information such as the development of Harvested Dry Unhusked (GKP) prices, Milled Dry Grain (GKG) at the farmer and mill level, farmer profiles based on use of grain varieties, area of land controlled, land ownership status, production conditions, transaction locations, harvest developments and estimates of the percentage of slashes are presented in this publication.
