April 2008 Happened Inflation Of 0.54 Percent In Seven City In Jawa Barat

The combined seven cities in Jawa Barat (Bandung, Tasikmalaya, Cirebon, Bekasi, Bogor, Sukabumi and Banjar) experienced inflation of 0.54 percent in April 2008, thus inflation in 2008 (January-April) reached 3.73 percent and inflation year to a year over the last twelve months of 7.81 percent. Of the seven spending groups, five groups experienced inflation, the highest in the housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel category by 1.03 percent, followed by the foodstuff category of 0.84 percent , food, beverages, cigarettes & tobacco group 0.76 percent, health 0.28 percent, education, recreation & sports 0.02 percent, while the two groups experienced deflation ie transportation, communication & financial services 0.55 percent and clothing group 0.11 percent.
