August 2012 Unemployment Rate oPEN in Jawa Barat Is 9.08 Percent

The total labor force in Jawa Barat in August 2012 was 20,150,094 people, an increase compared to the situation in August 2011 which at that time the labor force amounted to 19,356,624 people. Labor Force Participation Rate rose from 62.27 percent in August 2011 to 63.78 percent in August 2012. þ Compared to August 2011, the number of working population also increased. In August 2012 the working population was recorded as many as 18,321,108 people , while in August last year as many as 17,454,781 people. In August 2011 the unemployed in Jawa Barat reached 1,901,843 people, while in August 2012 there were unemployed 1.828.986 people. Thus, within a year there was a decrease in the number of unemployed as many as 72,857 people. Compared to August 2011, the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) of Jawa Barat decreased by 0.75 percent from 9.83 percent to 9.08 percent.
