Potential of Small Micro Enterprises in Jawa Barat Province

From the results of the Advanced SE2016, the number of these businesses reached more than 4.5 million businesses or 98.84 percent of the total non-agricultural businesses in Jawa Barat. This business is also able to absorb Jawa Barat's workforce in excess of 9.7 million people or around 74.07 percent of the total non-agricultural workforce. The business of Big and Retail Trade, Repair and Maintenance of Cars and Motorbikes (Category G) dominated the number of MSEs with a total of about 2.1 million businesses or reaching 47.44 percent. The processing industry (Category C) and the business of providing accommodation and drinking food supply (Category I) also had a large contribution, each amounting to 860,312 businesses (18.93 percent) and over 600,720 businesses (more than 13.12 percent).
