Abstract

The Government of Indonesia has been measuring the development of democracy in each province since 2007. The 2010 Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) was agreed as a benchmark for the preparation of the next IDI. BPS - Statistics Indonesiawas appointed as the coordinator of data collection in the preparation of the IDI. Furthermore, the IDI calculation starting in 2011 is coordinated by the Ministry of Political, Legal and Security Affairs in collaboration with BPS, Ministry of Home Affairs and Bappenas, and is carried out annually to capture the dynamics of democracy in each province in Indonesia. This year, BPS - Statistics of Jawa Barat Province a Province again presents the results of the IDI collection through the publication of "Democracy Portrait of Jawa Barat Province 2024".
